Kingdom Hearts Timeline

Let’s start by saying Kingdom Hearts has a convoluted Timeline. With Kingdom Hearts 3 wrapping production any year now I thought I should post a brief timeline. Last year Square Enix releases the Kingdom Hearts 1.5 & 2.5 Collection on PS4. It followed it up with Kingdom Hearts 2.8. Here is a list of movies and games with the order they should be consumed in. Note a few of these happen concurrently but after viewing both it is clear which you should do first.

1) Kingdom Hearts X Back Cover Movie (2.8 Collection)
2) Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep (1.5 & 2.5 Collection)
3) Kingdom Hearts (1.5 & 2.5 Collection)
4) Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth By Sleep: A Fragmentary Passage (Kingdom Hearts 2.8. The actual game runs can ncurrently with Kingdom Hearts. The beginning and end scenes are after Dream Drop Distance.)
5) Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories. I suggest watching the YouTube that combines both playthroughs as the game is rough.(1.5 & 2.5 Collection)
6) Kingdom Hearts 358/2. If you have a DS or PS3 it is in the 1.5 Collection. The events also run concurrently with Chain of Memories. You will see certain characters intertwined. This story also goes past Chain of Memories.(1.5 & 2.5 on PS4 has all the cut scenes in movie form.)
7) Kingdom Hearts 2 (1.5 & 2.5 Collection)
8) Kingdom Hearts Coded Movie (1.5 & 2.5 Collection)
9) Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance/3D (2.8 Collection)
10) Kingdom Hearts 3 (Maybe 2018 but who knows?)
