NFL Conference Championship Round Results!

Coming into this week I was 3-5 in my football predictions. This week didn't hurt, but it also didn't help. 1/21/18 1. (1) New England Patriots VS (3) Jacksonville Jaguars 3:05 pm est. CBS My Pick: New England Patriots Winner: New England Patriots 2.  (1) Philadelphia Eagles VS (2) Minnesota Vikings 6:40 pm est. FOX My Pick: Minnesota Vikings Winner: Philadelphia Eagles This brings my total predictions to 4-6 with no chance at 50%. I was going to pick the Pro Bowl but I realized that game isn't fun and they probably shouldn't even allow defenses on the field. As for my Super Bowl pick? It will be released on the day of the Super Bowl, two weeks from today. Tomorrow starts a theme for the blog that will run through next Sunday. Most likely not TBT this week.

NFL Picks For December 23-December 25

Hello. A lot of people loved my college football picks column so I'm going to give my NFL picks each weekend until the Super Bowl. You are going to see me pick the games two different ways. The betting line will shift up and down but I'm going with whatever is set on the website right at noon with no refreshed. When you see something with a team name and then a - beside it that means they need to win above that amount to cover on the game. So for the first example BAL -13.5 means they need to win by 14 points to win by the spot. http://www.espn.com/nfl/scoreboard Saturday December 23 Baltimore Ravens VS Indianapolis Colts (Bal -13.5) 4:30pm Winner of the game: Baltimore Ravens Cover the spot: Baltimore Ravens Green Bay Packers VS Minnesota Vikings (MIN -9.0) 8:30pm Winner of the game: Minnesota Vikings Cover the spot: Minnesota Vikings Sunday Dece...

The NFL Rules and How to Interpret This Weekend's Controversial Calls.

On Sunday we had two interesting calls that drastically changed the outcomes of games. In the first game, a 4:15 game on the east coast you had the Pittsburgh Steelers seemingly regain the lead from the New England Patriots. However after further review the player was overturned because TE Jesse James bobbled the ball in the end zone. Check video below. The first one that showed up on google. Tony Romo was pretty quick to point this out. But catches like this that get review happen every week. It is something that happens. ESPN's Max Kellerman said on First Take that the referees had a fundamental misunderstanding of their own rule. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=18GWrZLOpAA Then in the Oakland Raiders VS Dallas Cowboys we had an interesting call late in the game on a first down. The referees couldn't determine that Dallas got the first down. So they pulled out a folded index card. Normally instead of index cards we have two polls with linked chains that measure to see if ...
